According to the principal of the school, Yen-Liang Chen stated that under the trend of having fewer children and young generation migrating into cities, not only does Tainan Municipal South District Longgang Elementary School have only six classes, it is also the only elementary in the community! He is very grateful that Tsu-Chi had reached out to them, the students were able to have a safer environment and the reconstruction did not affect their learning as well.

The principal Chen also utilized this experience to educate his students about gratefulness. He had volunteers explaining to them how these assembled classrooms materials were transferred from many other schools beforehand and now to them. He wanted the students to remember this continuing love passed down to them and carrying on with it.
